A Day in FIGHT CAMP:
During fight camp the training intensity gets turned up and is much different then just staying in shape between fights. The biggest change right off the bat is how I eat. I start eating clean and cut out all fast food!!! I eat a good high carb breakfast to start my day before or after my strength and conditioning, sometimes it’s at 5am so its hard to eat something that early for me. Then at 10am to 12pm I will have fight practice that could consist of wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, grappling, or mitts. I will go home have lunch and maybe catch a nap before heading back to the gym at 5pm to teach my kids class. Right after class try to get a light meal of carbs before my night fight practice at 7pm to 9pm. I will have some greens and protein for dinner and if I am not feeling to sore from practice I like to take a quick 2-3 mile before dinner.
A Day out of FIGHT CAMP:
My eating habits become horrible!! I still train twice a day at 10am and a night practice at 7pm. Some mornings I like to get breakfast from McDonalds and then go to practice. After my morning practice for lunch I like to stop at Canes and get a box combo with extra toast! Then go home and relax for a bit come back to the gym in a few hours and have my second practice of the day. Dinner sometimes consists of In n Out burger and fries or a big home cooked meal. I do not watch how much I’m eating for my portions when not in my camp. Everyone laughs at me on how much I can eat when I’m not dieting.
